Carmarthen judoka claim medal haul.
At two recently held Judo competitions, held under the auspices of The Welsh Judo Association, a team of young people from Carmarthen Judo Club fought with great intensity and skill to produce the following brilliant results.

Pontarddulais Judo Championships:
Under 16 year olds:

Sian Abnett -36kg - Red Belts - 5th Place
Louise Hughes -44kg - Yellow Belts - Gold
Iwan Beynon -27kg - Red Belts - Silver
Alex Smith -34kg - Red Belts - 5th Place
Aron Curtis -34kg - Yellow Belts - 7th Place
Celt Llewelyn-Jones -34kg - Yellow Belts - 5th Place
Aled Beynon -38kg - Orange Belts - Gold
Elen Davies -52kg - Red Belts - Silver
Jorge Collings -66kg - Yellow Belts - Silver
Indeg Crane -63kg - Orange Belts - Gold

Seniors:
Chris Crane -66kg - Seniors - Gold
Gary Evans -81kg - Seniors - Bronze

Cynyr Llewelyn-Jones also participated in the Dragon display, which is for those youngsters under 8 years of age who are not entitled to fight in competitions.

Elen Davies did exceptionally well and won female player of the day at the Maesteg Championships.
